Who we are

Every child deserves a safe place to sleep.

Between 3–5% of children in the US don't have a bed of their own. Many sleep on floors, broken air mattresses, couches, or share beds with siblings. We exist to change that — one bed, one child, one neighborhood at a time.

Our mission

We strive to provide every child their own personal, safe place to sleep. But a bed is only the beginning — we want every child and family we serve to know that God sees them and cares for them, and so do we.

Our faith

Bed Brigade is a Christian volunteer movement. We follow Jesus, serve God and our communities, and want to see God's Kingdom come in every city where a chapter takes root. Everyone is welcome at our builds and deliveries — no faith required to receive a bed or to lend a hand.

How it works

1
Build Saturdays

Volunteers gather at the workshop — around 40 beds take shape in about 2.5 hours. No skills needed; every part of the process is taught on the spot.

2
Delivery Saturdays

Crews load trucks and deliver completed beds — frame, mattress, and fresh bedding — assembling each one in the child's own room.

3
Local chapters

Bed Brigade began near Columbus, Ohio and is growing into a national movement of local chapters, each building and delivering beds in its own community. Find your chapter →

Where we came from

Bed Brigade grew out of a church camp experience for teenagers in Grove City, Ohio — a week of service that opened eyes to how many children nearby had no bed to sleep in. What started as one project became a monthly rhythm of building and delivering, and is now growing chapter by chapter.
